Voting has started

Public voting has started in the tenth annual Focus On Ability film competition and, if past years are anything to go by, the winner of Most Online Votes will do so by just a few votes. It gets pretty close!

If you want your school, colleague, mate, parent, child, neighbour, favourite director, to win, spread the word. Voting finishes on 3 July. www.focusonability.com.au

This year there are six categories to enter. Viewers can vote once in each category. So watch carefully and make your vote count! Each voter goes into the running to win a $50 itunes voucher.

In the schools category, we have entries from Perth to Auckland, Hobart to North Queensland. Films have been made by a single operator on a phone all the way through to a full crew on equipment hired for the job. They've been made by first-time filmmakers and experienced filmmakers alike. There are animations, documentaries, comedies and calls to action. Every film has a chance to win.

These are the prizes for Most Online Votes for each section:

- Schools - OLED TV (RRP $4099) with Dolby Vision and Atmos Sound Bar (RRP $1499) PLUS $5000 cash
- Open - $5000 courtesy of Club York
- International - one return ticket to Australia to attend our Red Carpet Awards night (5 September 2018) and one week's accommodation.

With a record number of 297 films entered in 2018, there are a lot of films to see. That's hours of thoughtful, hearty, free entertainment. Vote for your favourite, make a comment and then spread the word about the ability of people with disability!
